My wife and I rented this cottage as a way to get away while social distancing and we were not disappointed. It is rare to find thIs amount of privacy and be right on the beach. We rented both levels and would view it as a necessity not only for privacy but to get full use of the amenities. The top unit has great views and an ice maker while the lower level has a washer and dryer and is remarkably quiet for sleeping despite being close to Captiva Drive. The landscaping is remarkable and it is clear Mike, the owner, takes great pride in creating a beautiful and private property. While the plants tend to block some of the view of the ocean (and those on the beach) we spent several afternoons relaxing in the shade of the palms on well cushioned lounge chairs. It should be obvious from other comments that this is a “beach cottage” in a positive way with frequent touches of elegance. We did not want for anything during our stay. In fact, we had Jerry’s deliver food prior to our arrival and it lasted us the full week further providing the social distancing we desired. Highly recommended. One other suggestion, bring Avon Skin so Soft to keep the no-seeums from being bothersome. We had a great week and would highly recommend to those looking for a unique beach experience.
